Hi Everyone,
We have 10 Expert - servers running in p for rule classification.
As the volume of rule getting processed was low and system was generating 'out of memory' issue , I believe my organization kept on adding the servers to get more output. Out of memory issue was later fixed by adjusting the thread count from Windows registry
After doing a close analysis on the servers found that the requests are going in round robin,
Going by the CPU and RAM utilization I can see that one of the server is processing the Rules - the load is around constant 30% CPU utilization and the remaining servers are lying Idle.
If I do a refresh this changes hand and another server has picked up a load and rest are idle.
Check the Screenshot.
PS Note all the servers are connected as the requests are getting processed on different servers, Its just that its processing in series. i.e. one server works other remain idle then 2nd server starts spinning and 1st one goes to idle with the remaining server.
My QUE here is : what configuration is missing or has to de bone to process requests from all the servers parallelly at the same time.
Hello
we are not using "expert" server option. But if i remember correct story runs like:
You have one SAP System
You habe on RFC connection to be used by "Expert Server"
And you can assign mor than one "Expert Server" to the same RFC connection
I believe the "RFC" interface (if i remember correct) will make sure that the "load" is balanced
Example: assuming you have starting a "rule" and you have 10 Expert Servers and may be you started that on 10.000 REAL_SUBs... roughly per "Expert Server" the rule should be executed for 1000 REAL_SUBs
So i am not aware of any option for actively influence this "load balancing" in the "RFC" connection

Check OSS note as:
Note 1061242 - EH&S: Availability and performance of WWI and Expert servers
PS: using "EHS Expert" you can execute one ruleset or a "correlated list of EHS" rulesets (in a sequence). I have no knowledge how the load balancing is done if you have a "sequence of rulesets". I would assume that all the sequences is processed for one REAL_Sub on one Expert Server
