in transaction code CG36VEN getting the information message Could not create report for specific R0100178, variant REF_MSDS, and lang

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to upload the PDF document by using the transaction code CG36VEN, there iam getting the information message .

"Could not create report for specific R0100178, variant REF_MSDS, and langd .lang"

plz help me. how to resolve this .

Hi Vanamaala,

Two points to check:

1- Check the report category of your generation variant (Tcode CG2B): he should be IBD_MSDS. If not you will have to create the report category in customizing

2- Check the configuration of your document type for IBD document

When I am tring to create the entries in this it is giving me the error “Choose the key from the allowed namespace Message no. SV019

Use this point of configuration:

SPRO>EHS>Product Safety>Report Management>Specify Report Categories

1- Create a new entry and fulfill the following:

Report cat.: IBD_MSDS

Bus. Proc.: MSDS_DIST

Rep. applic: MATMASTER

Report categ. Description: Inbound mat. safety data sheet

Save and Exit.

2- Edit the Generation variant IBD_MSDS in CG2B choosing the Report category IBD_MSDS. Save and Exit.

3- Now once again import the vendor msds and check.

there are around 20 entries with Generation variant IBD_MSDS in CG2B.

Do i need to change all the entries.

No, first start with generation variant REF_MSDS and check again in transaction CG36VEN.

OK, so you confirmed me that you define IBD_MSDS in SPRO and you re generation variant is using report category IBD_MSDS.

So, now, check you dcument type IBD in SPRO > Cross-Application Components > Document Management > Control data > Define Document Types:

- What are document status for IBD?

- What are document type details for IBD?

Hi,

If you want to store physically your original document you have to set flag "Use Kpro". Like that your original doc will be stored into Content server.

You could also use Archive Link to store the same in Conten Server. Only difference is in configuration. For this you need to create a cotent repository in Content server for Archive linking.

take any MSDS document (it will not have content like we use for uploading the data byuseing the BDC programs or BAPI, it is like document(like offer letter with ctc values ) ).

in the tcode CG36VEN,in the path file name u just pick this PDF file in specification R0100178, and in Generation variant REF_MSDS,

in vendor EMEA supplier MSDS

in report laguage EN

report version 1 - 1

report date CURRENT DATE

document size in pages 3

please help me
