How to modify Production Connectivity Shop Floor System Configuration

We have an OPCUA Shop Floor system configured with a given OPCUA Server endpoint URL. We are required to move the existing plant OPC UA Server to a new server with a new IP Address.

When trying to edit the Shop Floor System, the OPC UA Server Endpoint is not editable. So how can we make this change to just the endpoint?

Hi Steve,

I reach out to the product owner and the answer is as follows:

The URL cannot be exchanged by intention. It is a secondary ID as many other things depend on it.

· First, trusts, certificates and therewith the authentication depend on this endpoint. Simply exchanging it will not solve the problem.

· Second, any tag endpoints and services endpoints depend on it as well. We would need to check whether tag-indicator mappings as well as service calls still work.

Overall, such like interactions and the need to simplify those kind of LCM activities re known. We are working on concepts to simplify object handling in the cloud.
