Hi
I want to hide some of the tab pages of the cProjects project.
I am able to hide some of the tab pages like Approvals, check list items, control plans, substitute, versions.
I want to hide some more tab pages like Accounting, Resources, control plans, Project version, search etc.
Can anyone guide me how do I hide them?
Regards,
Niraj Sikligar
Hi,
looks like an issue with Web Dynpro ABAP personalization. I would suggest to use the cProjects-own field control instead.
Kind regards,
Florian

Folks,
as stated in my reply above:
just see SAP Note 942560 and the related notes, especially SAP Note 938521.
Kind regards,

hi Florian,
Very useful answer. Points awarded...
Have seen the SAP note 938521. Now I could hide tabs and even fields.
The only thing is that I ahve hide one field on the project header level, but that field is still visible at task level. and when I am trying to hide it again it is giving me following error:
What has happened?
The URL http://ides.amgdom.com:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects/ was not called due to an error.
Note
The following error text was processed in the system EC6 : Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible.
The error occurred on the application server ides_EC6_00 and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:
Method: GET_EMBEDDING_VIEW_ELEMENT of program CL_WDR_P13N_RT================CP
will you pleae tell me why is it so?
Secondly,
I need information about SAP tables for cProjects. Like in which SAP table, data of cProjects are stored? For example where do I find the deatails of projects created in SAP tables?
Thanks and Regards,
Niraj Sikligar
hi,
if i am not wrong u mean to say when we open cProjects homepage it shows all tabs like checklists, taks , project, approval, user group, evaluation, resorce planning, etc.
and u want to display only tabs related to user activity.
for this goto SPRO>>>basic setting>>>Define initial view for cProjects
here u can do setting based on roles. it is totaly role based.
Thanks
Amit

hi Amit,
Thanks for your reply.
I have done role based settings and could hide tabs like check list items, approvals, user group, substitute etc. at log in level but now I want to hide some tabs at project level like project verison resources, search and some tabs in project also like Additional data, notes, collaboration, etc.
Any help on this ?
Regards,
Niraj Sikligar
Dear Niraj,
You can definitely hide the following tabs at project level. This can be done while defining the Project Type.
1. Collaboration. 2. Object Link 3. Versions. 4. Status Reports 5. Resource Search and qualification.
SPRO=>Cprojects=>Structure=>Define Project Type and then dont check (tick) the above mentioned tabs.
I think the tabs like basic data, additional data , notes are essential and can not be hide.
Please award points if my answer is useful to you.

Yogesh
