Hi Gurus.
I'm facing troubles to modify a MSDS template. When I try to change a class sequence, I receive many msgs like shown below:
You can not acess environment M here.
Symbol G1013019VA does not have a main repeting group
Symbol G1013019QP does not have a main repeting group
Symbol G1013019SQ does not have a main repeting group
I realy don't know what is going on. Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

Repeating Groups are not actually needed in all cases. They do tend to be a good idea. A repeating group allows the formatting to repeat once for each sort sequence of data stored within the property. Everything between the start and end segments of the repeating group will iterate for each instance of data.
If the information is printing correctly, you may not need to address the issue, but it is better to insert the repeating group around the symbol in question. This is best done by a consultant with expertise with WWI, or by taking a WWI training course. And, it is a good idea to use Copy Template to make a backup if you are doing this without prior training.
You can use the Go To function on the error to go to the area of the template with the symbol. Click somewhere in the symbol in the WWI document, then on the icon on the left called "Edit Object From Template" that will take you to that symbol within the tree. You should now see in the upper left the structure of the tree where that symbol is found. If you then click in the tree on the property above that symbol (the folder next up from the field), you can see the repeating group that would be added. You can then in the document highlight the area of the template that should repeat for each sort sequence. Now, with that area highlighted, click over on the left on the "Insert WWI Object in Template" icon. This will add the repeating group around that area.
You then want to check the template, preview with a specification containing data for that area, then save it only if it meets your needs and resolves the error. Repeat for each area in error.
If you just need a few changes to a template, I recommend finding a consultant. They can generally greatly improve your templates in just 1-2 days of time.

Hello,
Its very tough to explain what went wrong unless you check the complete symbol sequence what you want to output and the way you placed the symbol and repeating group.
What I can say is the way you are trying to change the symbol is not acceptable.
Position the cursor appropriately at the symbol location where Repeating group is inserted. Probably you are trying to change a slave group.
Thanks

Hi Jayakumar.
Thanks for your posting.
I'm trying to change the sequence as is shown some classes in the MSDS template, for example, class SAP_EHS_1014_009(Flash point) should be showed after class SAP_EHS_1013_019(Ph). To do it, I'm using just copy/paste. Even observing all the symbols of a table and the external markers to the table as well, I can't do it.
you know a way to change the mode and sequence as the classes are shown in the final document?
Regards.
Hello Leonardo,
In MSDS
Symbol and its corresponding Repeating Group is used to print the Value
Control objects like Repeating Groups, Conditional Text and Blank compression might be applied.
So from view the best way to change the sequence could be - just remove the complete symbols, create them again.
Create one by one and test them in layout. If you want to use repeating groups, conditional text or blank compression apply them one after other.
Thanks
Jayakumar
Hello Leonardo,
I know you might be aware of this link - SAP Help

Initially it may seem very confusing to read. but if you carefully read it and try to do some work on WWI template, it should not be a problem.
Try to work as follows based on my experience:
1) EHS Report Types
2) SAP EHS Report generation proces
3) Definition and meaning of Parameter symbols, Descriptors and Specification symbols.
4)Installation of Post installation configuration activities for WWI server / EHS Management server
5) Overview of functionalities on WWI tool
6) WWI Settings and Options
7) Creation of basic Template consisting of static elements
😎 Creation of template using Specifications, Descripters and Parameters
9) Applying conditional, Blank compression, character sizing
10) Creation of custom symbols / parameters for wwi templates
11) Creation of new method if existing methods do not suffice
If possible take a demo MSDS template and try to create that by yourself.
Thanks
Jayakumar
