Dear Sap
We would like to disable the "Create Support Message" in SAP GUI functionalities from satellite systems.
Could advise ways to disable this. We wanted to grey out this function from the SAP GUI.
Request clarification before answering.
You have a couple of options to disable the support message option.
1. One is to edit BCOS_CUST on the managed system to remove the OSS_MSG entry. Then if a user creating a support message, it will end an error as it won't be able to determine what solution manager to direct the message to.
Kindly try the resolution point 3 "RFC Connections from Managed System to Solman System" in KBA 2138269 - How to analyze problems when creating message using Help and Create Support Message, to remove entry OSS_MSG.
But as this is a consulting issue and also as we do not have an official way to meet your requirement, we do not promise this way does not have any side effect on your ITSM function, and please try this based on your own situation.
2. If you would like to remove the option "Create Support Message" from HELP then check this KBA 3114200 - How to enable/disable 'New GUI Window'. Please note that the node that must be expanded is 'help' and not the 'system' one in your scenario.
