cg42.. error occured in edit documnet

Hi

I have got error .. when working on cg42... select the templte and click on edit document button..

system give an error like....

Error occurred while assigning the document template wwilayt.dot:

Message no. CM_REPORT_TEMPLATE421

System Response

The program Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) cannot be started.

Procedure

Contact your system administrator.

Procedure for System Administration

Check whether WWI is installed correctly. The following registry entry must exist for the document template wwilayt.dot:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/WWIDOCUMENT/InstallDir

pls..could anyboy provide solution for this error

Hi,

First check wether wwilayt.dot is present in C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\wwi

if not then do following things

Name a blank word file with wwilayt.dot and

Maintain this wwilayt.dot in C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\wwi.

Your problem should be solved.

this file.(wwilayt)..is there.... in this path..C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\wwi..

but error is not rectified....

Hi,

Check the DMS settings for doc type SBV(Report Template).

If Use kpro tick is there remove it.no assignment is 5and default application is wwi.

try thuis.if not worked upload screen shot or error message.

Uninstalled SAP GUI and installed the latest on on your desktop.

This will help in solving the problem.

copy the wwwilayt file from EHS Generation server to your local system in WWI Directory, and map this location in MSWord File Locations it may help you.

I could not find WWI folder in given path C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\wwi

I can see this path only in C-drive C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui

Installed SAP GUI 2 times but still no luck. Not able to pen the document from CG42.
