Can we name the SAP PPM Project versions?

Hello PPM Experts,

When we create project versions, we find that the system provides a numerical value (identity) to each version. Is it possible to allow users to create a version of their own name?

Create Version--> Create Snapshot

Hi Ashwini,

Yes it is possible. Please add your own template in the below node to avoid using any name or number,

SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Project Management> Define Permitted Version Numbers

Followed by this, please use these templates in the below portal configuration node to create the GLOBAL snapshot or simulation which user can choose. You can create any as many you want, this is one time work.

Portfolio and Project Administration > Services > Project Version Administration
