Hello,
I need help with a business requirement to change the company code and plant. We need to transfer all functional locations and equipment to new plants. All functional locations will have new labels with the same structure indicator.
My concerns:
I plan to activate alternative labeling to change functional location labels. What impact will this have on all master data associated with the functional locations (equipment, maintenance plans, task lists, etc.) and on system operations and reporting?
Is there a solution for mass changing new labels and company codes?

I would encourage you to test the important processes of your business with respect to an alternative label being defined.
I have observed that when an alternative label is defined, historical data, such as completed notification in the past, will also reflect the updated label. This may impact the way you run historical reports.
