I have spare parts sold and used as Bom components for production.
each material have self life
if the self life got expired 50% then it should not be considered for sales. New receipts to be created in Mrp. But for production the 50% expired material can be used and considered for Mrp
Is there any standard way to achieve this
Request clarification before answering.
Hello
In standard, MRP does not consider the batch expiration date while planning, so you won't find a solution in standard to automatically consider batches with 50% shelf life in MRP.
I have seen companies implementing BAdIs to exclude expired batches from the MRP run, but I don't think they would work in this specific scenario where batches can be used for production but not for sales.
Perhaps you need to use different MRP Areas for sales and production, and move the batches with less than 50% of shelf life to the production MRP Area.
