Hi Neeraj,

what you need is a placeholder for the project title. Here are the steps on how to do it:

  1. When you open the text editor for the title of the book page you see a drop down on the right side where you can choose "Insert Placeholder".
  2. As a placeholder you can then select "Project: Name". This will display the name of the simulation that this book page is placed in. Be aware that the book page needs to be located in the project for this to work - a template book page being used for different projects will not work.
  3. Now place the book page underneath your simulation in the structure and you will see the project title appear.

In addition to the standard placeholders, you can also specify placeholders for specific objects. The respective UID of the object and an exclamation mark are to be added to the displayed placeholder variables in the text box. This should have the following form:

  • Standard:
  • Extended:

Hope that helped!

Take care,

Kristina

Hi Neeraj,

good to hear the steps helped. What kind of objects do you mean? You can replace the "project" in the placeholder with other objects like "cdoc" for text units or "group" for groups. There are standard placeholders and you can create your own, like for groups. But they always relate to the object ID the edited object is placed in unless you put in an ID like in the extended placeholder in my answer.

Take care,

Kristina

Hi Kristina kristina.tanz ,

It has recently been brought to my attention that when creating a "master copy" simulation with start and end pages, i.e. a simulation template that can be copied using the "Template" field in the create dialogue or pasted as a duplicate, where the placeholder retains the master copy name even when the name of the project is different.

In some cases, the text editor field in the book page properties has updated but the WYSIWYG editor is still displaying the original text. See below. The original text also displays when previewing the simulation.

Do you know the reason for this please?

Thank you,

Byron

Hi bspink ,

this is a known bug and we are working on fixing it. As a workaround, the placeholders should be updated when you generate the library.

If you are unsure you can open up a support incident and ask them to inform you once the bug is fixed.

Take care,

Kristina
