Hi,
My current 4.32 uPerform server is installed on Windows 2008 R2 and IIS7.0 using the hostname. Currently end users call the website via http://hostname.domain
I have just recently added a friendlier DNS name to the server. How can I get the URL to change to the new http://dnsname.domain ?
I can call uPerform now with the new http://dnsname.domain but the browser will immediately switch back to the hostname.domain URL once uPerform is displayed.
**Update - did try to change the bindings but the URL still reverted to hostname.domain
Any ideas on how to make the dnsname.domain URL stick?
Thanks.

Hi Eugene,
On your corporate DNS you can have your network team assign
a hostname to the ip address of the server.
Howevwer before you do this you can check the following settings and
see if either a domain name or just IP address is maintained
The following configuration files need to be updated with the new domain
name or IP address
<InstallPath>/Collaboration/conf/startup.props
<InstallPath>/Collaboration/collab.props
<InstallPath>/Collaboration/WWW/Python/web.config
<InstallPath>/Collaboration/WWW/script/common.js
<InstallPath>/Collaboration/WWW/uPerformWS/RWD.uPerform.ServerConf
iguration.DLL.Config
<InstallPath>/Collaboration/jkconnect/conf/workers.properties
You can perform a search for the existing name and replace it with the
new one everywhere it exists. After modifying the files, you will need
to restart the Vignette Services in order for the changes to take
affect.
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards,
Matthew
