Hello, we are in the middle of testing and wanted to see if anyone has any best practice or test script examples I can review to ensure we are testing correctly for our company. Any help would help! Thank you!
The problem is that if you configure an instance for EC, that the workflows, business rules, permissions, portlets and most fields will be different and thereby cause you to expect different outcomes. Hence best practice is a fair starting point, but in the end you'll (or the customer will) always need to customize it to ensure testing can be done correctly.
I personally prefer to use Excel files for testing and setting up a specified testing population for it up front if the customer has no testing tool. For defect tracking/progress tracking you'd ideally have a testing tool, but that usually comes at a price and especially when you are testing already it may be a bit late for that.
Thanks for your response - i was wondering how you got the direct link to the test scripts for EC as i went via rapid.sap.com to find some for recruitement and would not find any and then i tried to find the documents you mentioned in EC via there and could not jump to your link.
Would you be so kind to help me find the testscripts for all the talent modules ? or give me a hint on how to get there? Maybe rapid.sap is not the right way 😉
