SF LMS iContent clean-up approach

Hi,

Considering the fact that for iContent access only one set of credentials is provided, how do you recommend to approach the clean up of the files that are stored there?

Our client is unhappy with the fact that every time they update a SCORM file, a new version is added up, instead of replacing the old one by deleting it and keeping only the newer version. This adds up a lot of unnecessary files on the iContent server which need to be deleted.

Therefore, the Learning team has requested to receive access to the iContent server for several different people, to be able to delete these old files. Since it is not possible to create additional accesses, we were wondering how do you usually recommend approaching this situation?

Thanks a lot!

@pmanolache, one comment related to the action of deleting the contents. If the review content feature is being used and the content is deleted from iContent, users are going to face errors (ex.: 404) (KBA 2301688).

Hi, thank you for the FYI, the deleted contents would mostly be the old versions of the same files, as the content is not being replaced, but rather all versions are kept.
