SAP Payroll HCM Advanced Leave Payment (Annual Leave) Salary Hold

Could you please advise on how to hold an employee's salary in the SAP Payroll system during their annual leave (automatic hold) , without changing the employee status to inactive or create an event for annual leave? Additionally, I would like to ensure that this salary hold does not affect the calculation of advance leave payments in the background, in accordance with Saudi localization requirements.

Hi, In that case, use mashup to lock the employee or create a background job to lock employee on start date of absent and unlock on end date. But best practice would be LOA with status change.

Normally you can do simple way like, create separate payroll area 99 (no payroll)

is the mashup applicable for T-code PU03 not infotype 0003? and if its applicable the salary hold here will be affected on Advanced leave payment background calculation?

Mashup is mainly for Infotypes and not transactions. Once employee is locked, no payroll will be trigerred.

okay once we make it as mashup, we can make business rule for make the automatic salary hold once the annual leave is approved ?

and what about Payroll effect in Advanced leave payment in Saudi localization case because if we did the salary hold it will stop payroll calculation on the system, and it must be triggered for advanced leave payments deductions in regular payroll till the employee come back and also the GOSI cost posting.

Not sure if I understood it correctly. If Advance leave is paid for the months on leave, there is no need for additional payment. Once employee returns from leave, the regular would start from then. Business rule cannot impact mashup as mashup is in SAP system.

Business rule cannot impact mashup as mashup is in SAP system its mean there is no automatic way to do to lock the employee salary once his leave is approved ?
