SAP GUI Context Help in SAP Enable Now Producer 2406

Hello all, SEN 2406 has had its Workarea > Publish > Export Context File menu removed. The Help website no longer has the SAP_Help_Extension_ECC_en-US.pdf manual. The 2406 What's New guide does not mention that this feature has been retired. The https://enable-now.sap.com/ Info Center website still has the old instructions for configuring SAP GUI Context Help and generating the context.html file, but I cannot find the function in 2406 Producer. Any suggestions? Many customers still use SAP GUI Context Help.

My apologies, I searched https://me.sap.com/ for relevant SAP Notes and found nothing last week, but as you probably know, it's harder to find relevant content in https://me.sap.com/ these days. I found the answer today under "2638320 - How to Publish Context Sensitive Help on SAP Cloud Manager"- in Producer, in Tools > Settings > Producer > Expert Features, add PullContexts=1 and then save and then restart Producer when it prompts you. The original Workarea > Publish > Export Context File menu should reappear, along with the original Tools > Context Administration > Test Context File menu.

Hi Barth, how did you manage to see the selection of parameters with TCODE etc. by testing the context.html file?

Hello UlrG7 , when you publish the context.html file, you select which parameters it will use, such as TCODE. The process is shown in the SAP Enable Now Info Center website at https://enable-now.sap.com/ , under Product Integration > Context.html and SAP GUI. When you test the context.html in Producer after you generate it, it prompts you for the parameter to search for (such as Tcode). You enter the Tcode and click OK, and it returns the list of published documents that it found in SEN, exactly the way the SAP GUI Help menu will display it. If the piece of content you expect to see is not in that list, then either it does not contain the parameter you tested, or it is not published in SEN Manager.

Hi Barth, thanks for your answer. I already configured the context.html with the help of the instruction "How to configure context sensitive help". However, I'm not able to select any parameters, that should be included in the context file (for instance: LANGU, TCODE, MANDT, DBYSS, PROGRAM, DYNPRO, SYSID). With your hint PullContexts=1 I was able to reappear the Export Context File menu but the "Export Context File - Parameter" is missing. Do you know how to solve this issue?

Hello UlrG7, I had this issue happen once several years ago, where the Export Context File-Parameter prompt with checkboxes to select which parameters to include in the context.html did not display. My notes from that time say "If this prompt does not display, you may have selected a folder that is too high in the Workarea tree, containing too many folders and items for the program to consider when generating the context.html file. This can also happen if you have selected a folder which contains many subfolders of migrated legacy content (such as uPerform or Captivate) or other content that was created outside of SAP Enable Now. Make sure you are selecting a Group folder which contains ONLY Referenced Book Pages, Simulations, and other Group folders (that is, native SAP Enable Now content)." I also seem to remember that if an author adds a hard return while typing context codes manually in the Screen IDs property field in Producer, that can cause the problem too, but I tested just now and it makes no difference, so maybe that's not an issue anymore. On me.sap.com, Knowledge Base Article 2212273 also mentions that "NOTE: This dialog box populates with available parameters from the recorded context. If the content has no recorded context, this dialog box [the Export Context File-Parameter prompt] will be blank and it is not possible to continue configuring Context Sensitive Help." In your Producer properties pane for an SEN object like a Simulation, the Web Contexts (SAP Companion) > Screen IDs field needs to have TCODE= (something) in it, for at least one of your Simulations. If they're all blank, which I have seen happen when the content developers did not have their Producers and their target SAP GUI set up correctly, then there's no context in the content to be generated into the context.html file. But the KBA seems to say that the Export Context File-Parameter prompt will be blank, not that it doesn't display at all. If it's not displaying at all for you, I would recommend putting in an SAP Support ticket.
