Release 2411 Learning - Search Capability For Custom Fields

Dears,

does anyone happen to have more details regarding release note "Search Capability For Custom Fields" (reference number LRN-162922)? After reviewing the release note multiple times and taking a look at the system and comparing the preview instance with the productive instance, it is not clear, what is the new functionality.

@SebastianGr1, when the custom field is referenced (compare these type of fields in the different versions), the list of options to be selected can be quite extensive. The 2411 system version brings the search capability for these fields, while the previous one only had a dropdown/list to be scanned.

Hi, For me it is still appearing as same in both instances(Production and STAGE). Can you help me know if I need to have any special permission to see the changes?

As I understand, there's no special permission. Is your stage environment in the 2411 version already?

Yes it is in 2411 already. The one which is applied on October 14th.

Ok. In the 2411 version, if the referenced custom field doesn't have the search capability (if it still contains a dropdown/list only), I think a case would need to be opened for further review.
