PMU-20173 - Setting Up Single Sender for Email Notifications creates RMK problem

Hello,

I'm writing about PMU-20173. This new feature solves one problem, but creates a bigger problem. This will solve the problem of performance emails coming from an unrecognizable email address and going to spam or being reported as phishing. This can still be an unmonitored email box because SF PMGM will place the responses into the PMGM module.

However, since the same single email address is now required to be used in RMK, all automated external recruiting emails will now come from the same address used for performance management. This is a MAJOR problem. Currently, our automated RMK emails are coming from an email box monitored by Talent Acquisition. PMU-20173 now forces us to change those RMK emails to come from another box intended for PMGM, time sheet notifications, PTO notifications, etc.

So, lets look further at solutions:

1. Use an unmonitored email for RMK which will also be used for PMGM and all other notifications. The downside to this is a decrease in the ease of communications for job applicants. A question I have for SAP is, will the job applicant replying to the unmonitored box, get an email kickback saying the email is not valid?

2.  Use a monitored email for PMGM and RMK. The people monitoring that inbox will receive correspondence from candidates, but they would also get highly sensitive performance review information. This is not viable.

Another question for SAP: We currently have this enabled in prod but it doesn't impact RMK and PMGM notifications. What happens to our current RMK notifications, PMGM notifications, and other notifications if we disable the single sender after 2H2024

Thank you
