In new feature PLA-35155
When an employee signs in to SAP SuccessFactors, regardless of their login methods, the system no longer checks if the employee has a valid direct manager in the system.
In other word, we have no way to detect invalid data quality being entered at the employee Level.
Example :
Employee Alex Anderson 100001 is a new manager hired on Nov 1rst 2023
Employee nancy Nash 100002 is a direct report reporting to Alex Anderson hired on Nov 3rd 2023.
Both employee ID are valid on Nov 3rd 2023.
Now make an hire date correction on Nov 1rst on Alex Anderson and change his hired date for Nov 15th 2023.
100001 is an invalid login on :
- Nov 1rst til Nov 14th
100001 is a valid login after : Nov 15th.
If i understood correctly, employee 100002 will be able to login from Nov 3rd.
But from Nov 3rd to Nov 14th, the wrong Manager information will be propagated to Third party system without any errors generated in SuccessFactors side if they are using SuccessFactors as Source of Truth.
The capture of these issue will solely depend on third party system checking if the manager ID is valid or not.
Hello,
The manager validation for login is removed, however you can run the check tool option "The user has an existing and active manager" to check whether user has a valid manager or not.
Best regards,
Mauricio
