ONB and CB triggering process to active employees

Hello.

We need to be able to trigger a crossboarding or onboarding process to an active employee before the termination date is achieved. That means that the employee will be terminated in the system with a future date e. g. one month later, and in that moment we need to be able to trigger the onboarding or crossboarding process, the employee will be still active in the system but with a future termination date, and we need to start in that moment with the cb or onb process so the Hiring Manager can start creating some tasks. This is very important to us.

Can you help us? How can we do this?

Hello!

In general what happens, is that after responsible role completes termination process - offboarding process is triggered. So once we know that employee will leave - voluntary or involuntary - mostly Manager / HR is completing temrination in the Employee Central. Once it is completed by respective role - offboarding process is triggered within all the configured tasks and steps, even if the termination date for the employee will reach in the future.

Not sure what exactly are you reffering to because onboarding/crossboarding will never trigger based on temrination. We can:

- trigger Onboarding based on hire event reasons,

- trigger crossboarding / internal hire based on transfer event reasons or change of the value in Employee job information / employment details / compensation info portlet

- trigger offboarding based on termination event reasons

one or the other - important thig is that you need to initiate the process once you know you will hire / transfer / terminate employee. Since this moment you will be able to plann the process for him accordingly - even if he change will happen in the future.

Let me know if it clarifies

Kind Regards
