We have enabled the new ILX for learning in our testing environment. However, the mobile app does not reflect the new ILX mobile - is there something we are missing to get this turned on?

Hi there

You need to enable this in Settings on the mobile app.

Under settings you will now see a toggle for New Experiences and, if Learning is set up on your desktop, the Learning toggle should be there.

The following article states:

SF_LRN_Mobile.pdf (sap.com)

8.4.1 2024 Preview Features
The June 2024 Preview app delivery includes the new Learning experience, updated app names, bookmarking from
Course Details, time zones for classes, and some other minor functional changes.
Learning Module ......

The Learning switch, found in the app
Settings, provides users with access
to the legacy Learning experience as
needed, such as when accessing downloaded content offline or Approvals. The
switch selection is saved across mobile
sessions when a learner relaunches their
app or restarts their device. This selection is independent of any selection on
the web application.

I hope this helps.

Sam

According to our Learning Team, there is a choice made to default it on or off when the New Learning experience is enabled.

Thank you - this is so helpful. It was presented to us that it would automatically update and show the new experience if it was turned on in the web browser and if the toggle is allowed, it would also show in the app to allow users to toggle back and forth.

I have double checked with our Learning Admin Team and they advise that there is a setting within Learning Admin for DEFAULT which does not allow the user to switch. This could be the way to default the Mobile settings too?

We currently have it turned on and the toggle hidden to prevent going back to the old learning view for testing purposes. Perhaps we need to have it on first, then hide it to get the app to update to the new view. Thank you.
