Did you mean:

migrating from WPB 9.5.1 straight to the SAP Enable now Cloud?

Hi,

A bit of a background

  • Currently, we have multiple work areas within SAP WPB 9.5.1
    • We have issues with creating documentation since WPB is not compatible with Microsoft 365
  • The business recently accepted the case that allowed us to buy SAP Enable Now Cloud.

Questions?

  1. Is it possible to migrate the current resources and content to the Enable Now cloud edition without first upgrading the WPB to SEN 10.0.0?
  2. When migrating, will the resources be updated to reflect the new document types (If this is a manual creation, then please say)
  3. How to trigger a mass update so the current documentation picks up the latest version of the resources with the upgraded document types instead of referring to the resources that have incompatible document types, e.g. Documentations

thank you in advance

IMHO, the content migration will work without issues.

I recently migrated another WPB 9.5 customer's content and resources to the SEN cloud. It went smoothly like drinking Martini Bianco and listening to the Yacht Rock Radio on SiriusXM on a hot summer night 🍸.

Thank you Anton. Did you have to do any prework to make it compatible? My colleague who was in some meetings while i was off, said we had to upgrade WPB 9.5 to SEN 10.0 first before going to the cloud? is this correct in your assessment?

No, I didn't. The customer just exported all the content + resources, and I imported it to their SEN Cloud system. For every workarea we exported resources and content in a separate dkp files just in case. If you want a quick test please share an example of your WPB content + exported workarea resources with me, I'll upload it to one of my SEN Cloud systems and will give you an access, so you can check if everything looks as it was before.
