How to mark absence in successfactors lms

Hello,

My client would like to track users absences (user who was registered in the class but did not attend the class)  into Successfactors LMS.

I was thinking about adding "ABSENCE" completion status for the different item type (mainly courses). And then run the learning history report and find the users absents.

But I am not sure about this option because completion status means that a user has come to the end of a learning event. 

I was also thinking about adding an "absent status" in the registration status in the class. So the administrator at the end of the class can mark user absent with this status. If I choose this option, it is possible to have a report showing all the users absents in all classes of the year for example?

Hi @lilymar, we have a few different options as we also like to track this information. We have multiple registration statuses that refer to cancellation by time period or reason for cancellation e.g. Status: ACC_CANCEL_NS | Description: Cancelled did not attend class. I find the credit given / not given as completion statuses unhelpful in SAP SF so we avoid using anything apart from Attended for Credit to mark an individual as completing a class or elearning item. You can have completions status as "COURSES_NOShow" with credit as NO. LMS admin needs to select this completion status for such users.
