Handling Group Goals in Latest Goal Management

We have enabled Latest Goal Management and need to convert the existing legacy goal plan template as part of this enablement . However there are some group goals associated with previous template because of which conversion would not be possible . As per the help document below : 

A report is generated to have a back up of Group Goals . How do we delete Group Goals once the Latest Goal Management is Enabled  and later import them back as Team Goals ?

Deletion is not working through Import as it states "You can’t import group goals using Import Performance Goals in the latest Goal Management."

I was able to delete the goals using "Import Performance Goals" . Now after conversion of template , those goals need to be re-imported back to the system . Can anyone suggest how to import these deleted group goals as "Team Goals" ?

I am struggling with the same issue, how were you able to get past the "You can’t import group goals using Import Performance Goals in the latest Goal Management." error?

Thanks for responding Mridul . This was mainly after upgrading to Latest Goal Management where Group Goals are not supported. It was configured that only Employee and their Manager can delete goals .I was able to complete the action using "Import Performance Goals"
