Hello,
I'm generating a video out of a simulation but the video is missing the audio output, i.e. there is no sound, although the demo has audio and the text-to-speech is generated.
We have installed the latest version of Producer - 10.8.4 and I tried again. I managed to produce a video with sound, but only for a screencast video. And in order to have that option, the recording should be done with Profile 'Quick recording' - the only one allowing to Record Screencast Video.
I have to insert some book pages, but when I do that and try to generate a video I get the following options:
The problem is that if I choose Simulation Video, I get a video with the book pages plus the steps I recorded, but no sound.
If I choose Screencast Video, I get sound but the book pages are not shown - only the recorded steps are included.
My questions are:
1. Is a video with audio output foreseen to work only for Screencast video (i.e. Quick Recording profile)? Can I have the audio output in a Simulation video as well?
2. Can I insert book pages in a screencast video?
Many thanks!
Roumiana
Hi Roumiana,
It's definitely possible to generate the audio using the Simulation Video option but I have seen issues with other customers previously. My suggestion is to change the settings used to generate the audio and see if that works. The settings that I current use that work are:
The Use Screen Capture (Faster), Video Codec and Audio Format settings are the main ones to consider.

Hi Shane,
Indeed, I have played around with those settings, trying different combinations, but nothing seems to be working, unfortunately.
Latest simulation video was created with the following settings:
I honestly don't understand what is wrong. That was the situation at my client in release 2005, it is the same in 2406...

Roumiana
