Hi,

With the announcement of Table and Canvas reports reaching End of Development on November 17, 2023 and Deleted on November 21, 2025, can you please advise if there is a tool/functionality available to convert reports to Story?

thanks.

I recommend to keep Tables report instead of deprecating it. It is the bread and butter reporting. It simple to configure and run. People Stories on the other hand is an extremely difficult tool to learn, configure and run to customer's expectations. Moreover, it is extremely slow, and prone to errors.

Hi @Jenn_Say  - No, there will be no tool to migrate reports from old reporting tools to Stories.  This is due to the new data schema underneath Stories is different from our legacy reporting tools.

Second, the capabilities in Stories are much different and better than our previous tools.  If we simply ingested old reports to new, you would miss all the benefits of live, transactional reporting in a modern UI.

We would recommend the time to review reports, understand where requirements can be combined into one report and reimagine how insights are delivered to your organization.

Thanks!
Ben

Hello, does this mean that the Legacy Report Distributor Tool will also be deprecated?

Yes, this will also be the transition away from Legacy Report Distributor - it is highlighted in the FAQs on this blog: https://groups.community.sap.com/t5/product-and-customer-updates/retirement-of-canvas-table-tiles-da...

The double sunset ( authentification + adhoc ) is going to be hard on sme SF customers who don’t have extended IT/HR budgets

hi @benroberg
Do we know what the plan is for these older instances? Will old customers purchase the People Analytics licenses to keep using the reporting options? ad what about the new costumers do need to purchase the disere module and people analytics?
