Admin cant see Onboardee Name in Onboarding Dashboard

Hello dear community,

I am new to the SAP world and have the problem that my admin user does not see the names of the onboardee in the onboarding dashboard.

What could be the reason for this?

I have also set the target population to Everyone.

Hi André,

Please review the below permissions for the Admin Role.

Permissions to be Granted:

• General User Permission:

  • Company Info Access & User Search

• Employee Central Effective Dated Entities:

  • First Name & Last Name

• Employee Data:

  • Status

• ONB or OFB Object Permissions:

  • [Relevant tasks] & Equipment Type + Type Value (if applicable)
  • Process

• Misc Permissions:

  • Person

Permissions to be Removed:

Make sure you DO NOT grant anyone using ONB/OFB the following, as it really messes up the dashboard. You will find the new hire names disappear, employees from other hiring managers showing up etc.

1. Metadata Framework > Admin Access to MDF OData API
2. Manage Integration Tools > Allow Admin to Access OData API through Basic Authentication
3. Manage User > Employee Export

Please ensure that the above three permissions are removed from each role where they are currently assigned. You can verify this by checking the user permissions via the View User Permission function.

Dear Raajas, The second part of your answer grabbed my attention - this means that the dashboard is not supported to used by API-s? Because we have the exact issue you mentioned,we built an additional layer on the dashboard to improve UI, which uses API calls, but now struggling to share this for managers and HR as they do not see the result without Admin Access to MDF OData API, but with having that access, they see more than their target population!

Hello dear Raajas, thank you very much for your help. I have now distributed the permissions as described above. However, as soon as I remove the following permission on the Employee Login and Basic Access role, as my admin is that assigned, I don't see any more boardings. Metadata Framework > Admin Access to MDF OData API. Regards André
