Summary of Low-Code / No-Code Technology
The image shows the SAP Build portfolio and capabilities
The demand for professional developers continues to grow faster than supply leading to developers increasingly composing software by working with libraries instead of having to re-write the same lines of code over and over (agility). This has given birth to low-code / no-code trends that are increasingly becoming the order of development, extensibility, and E2E process automation.
SAP through SAP BTP has service offerings for low-code / no-code to help citizen and professional developers to build and scale their enterprise applications while automating processes and workflows. With SAP Build, you can create applications, automate processes, and build business sites, all with no-code / low-code.
For no-code development, we have SAP Build Apps, formerly SAP AppGyver, which was acquired in 2021 and recently renamed to SAP Build Apps. This gives you a platform to do your no-code development to create applications without code, regardless of your skills, while integrating seamlessly.
For process automation, we have SAP Build Process Automation that enables everyone, regardless of skill level, to automate processes and tasks with drag-and-drop simplicity. This is a consolidation of workflow management and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bundled together to achieve a unified process automation.
For digital experience, we have SAP Build Work Zone, which is now part of the new SAP Build portfolio. SAP Build Work Zone unifies SAP Launchpad service and SAP Work Zone into a single offering empowering business users to build & publish business sites. This is now offered in two editions: the standard edition (formerly known as SAP Launchpad service) and the advanced edition (formerly known as SAP Work Zone).
