We are excited to announce the latest benefits enrollment experience. This is an entirely new enrollment experience for Insurance and Savings Plans benefit types that will greatly improve the ease and confidence for employees selecting benefits during defined enrollment periods such as open enrollment, or that window related to hire, rehire, or work-life events.

Initially, this is a Restricted Availability release that is open for those who register for the Early Adopter Program.  On February 19, 2024, Preview Instances will be updated.  This will be followed by an update to Production instances on February 22, 2024, accompanied by an Early Adopter Program.

The latest EC Benefits Experience provides a new, flexible framework that offers the following:

  • Step by step progression flow for enrollment.
  • Side-by-side comparisons of costs and details for health, dental, vision, and prescription drug programs. The comparisons inform employees, allowing them to be confident in their enrollment decisions.
  • With each health plan selection, the system presents the relevant savings plan(s) for enrollment.
  • Improved flow for dependent selection so that the employee can see costs up front.
  • Employees may review and update dependent information without having to leave the benefits enrollment process.
  • Localizable instructional text on each page to ensure that the benefits and enrollment processes are well understood, without having to consult a separate guide.
  • Concurrent enrollment period handling, such as a new hire who joins  during open enrollment.
  • For organizations who want to confirm that employees have made a decision on each benefit, the system is configured to require an enrollment or opt out of each benefit.
  • View and manage your benefits through the SAP SuccessFactors mobile application.

The latest benefits experience continues to use standard integration with SAP Payrolls, and life and work event automation to create Special Enrollment Periods.  We are actively recruiting customers to join the Early Adopter Care Program, which begins with the February production release.  The criteria for joining the program are the following:

  • Your benefit enrollment process uses insurance and savings plans benefits.
  • You do not require benefit extensions needing custom fields or objects.
  • You do not have “On Change” rules that update one field with another.
  • You do not offer private contribution for health insurance (UK)..
