With social media platforms being a positive outlet to share stories in this extraordinary setup, I thought of penning down this small piece to share my wonderful experience of joining my current workplace, SAP Labs.

I joined SAP Labs as a User Assistance Developer on March 9th, 2020. However, my wonderful association with SAP began way back in January, when I received the confirmation call for being shortlisted in my desired role. I was excited but equally nervous about navigating my way ahead in this huge organization. But all my worries subsided after speaking to Swathi, my hiring recruiter from the Talent Acquisition team at SAP. She was very patient with all my questions about the hiring process and clearly explained the next steps for action. After several rounds of interviews and discussions, I was all set to begin an exciting career journey at my dream organization.

Leading up to my start date at the company, I kept receiving constant support and guidance from the hiring team in the form of emails, info graphics, and detailed manuals. They ensured that I had a seamless onboarding experience and ample amount of resources to familiarize myself with the organization. The Prestart Portal, a one-stop-shop for all new joiners, gave me a much-needed head start in this recruiting journey. On my first day, the detailed onboarding session with my location HRs was an enriching experience and introduced me to the plethora of opportunities and benefits that awaited me at this world-class organization. There were multiple sessions with the IT and facility teams as well, which ensured that we settled in our roles as quickly as possible.

Having spent a month now comfortably settled in my new role, I still receive regular pulse checks from the hiring and onboarding teams to check if I'm facing impediments or need any form of support. This truly reflects how SAP values employees as its most critical asset and ensures commitment to their excellence over anything else. I feel overwhelmed with pride to call myself an SAPian and be a torchbearer in SAP's mission of making the world run better.
