The 2H 2023 release is here!

A new set of enhancements has been released in the 2H 2023 release that has been eagerly awaited. The SAP SuccessFactors H2 2023 Release includes some key features and enhancements, so let’s take a closer look!

1- Decline Assignment Applications:

During the hiring phase, assignment owners and co-owners can now decline applications from applicants who are considered unsuitable for the assignment and in the status Applied, Offer Received, Offer Pending Approval, or Offer Accepted.

2- Enhanced Intelligent Recommendations Available in
Opportunity Marketplace:

Intelligent recommendations of learning items and assignments generated by SAP’s machine learning algorithm are available in Opportunity Marketplace. The algorithm uses your profile data and system interactions.

Recommended Opportunities

Configuration Requirements:

  • You need to have the Manage Opportunity Marketplace>Manage Intelligent Recommendations in Opportunity Marketplace permission.

  • You need to turn on Enable Personalized Recommendations in the Admin Center>Company System and Logo Settings.

  • You need to choose Career Explorer as the role recommendation source for Opportunity Marketplace in order for intelligent job role recommendations to appear in the Explore Career Options section.

  • You need to enable Assignments in Manage Opportunity Marketplace.

You need to have at least the following minimum activity data in your instance:

  • At least 1000 bookmarked learning items, completed learning items, bookmarked assignments, or assignment applications.

  • At least 100 users using the Opportunity Marketplace assignment or SAP SuccessFactors Learning.

  • At least 100 assignments or learning items exist in the system.

3- Enhanced Search in Opportunity Marketplace:

In the Opportunity Marketplace, SAP improved the ranking of search results.

4- Generic Objects Supported in Opportunity Marketplace

There is now the option to create custom fields for the following generic objects: Business Unit, Department, Division, Country/Region, Job Function, and Job Classification. There can be only one custom field per generic object.

Configuration Requirements:

  • Generic Objects and Employee Central Foundation Objects are enabled.

5- Participation Hours per Week Available in Opportunity
Marketplace Assignments:

You can now select either Participation Percentage (%) or Participation Hours per Week for Part-Time Participation and specify the total hours if you select Participation Hours per Week while creating the assignment.

6- Share Opportunities with Your Colleagues:

You can now share opportunities through a simple link with your colleagues on the opportunity detail page.

  • This feature is not available for Learning and Open job opportunities.

  • When assignment owners or co-owners open their assignments through a shared link, they can only view the assignment details.

We built this feature so that employees in your organization can promote opportunities they find interesting and actively support each other's growth and development.
