[VERY URGENT] Fail Loading Data into BPC Cube with Package Success

Former Member

Hello experts,

I really need your expertise with maximum urgency: my project is in final stage (with go-live next week) and suddenly in one of the Environment models, the packages seem to present SUCCESS and the data is not loaded into BPC Cube.

Please look at both scenarios:

Scenario 1: Load data into BPC Cube from Infoprovider with package /CPMB/INFOPROVIDER_UI

1. Transformation file perfect with no errors and SIGNEDDATA correctly maped;

2. Standard package /CPMB/INFOPROVIDER_UI;

3. Status of execution:

Task name CONVERT:

No 1 Round:

Reject count: 0

Record count: 272

Skip count: 0

Accept count: 272

Task name LOAD INFOPROVIDER:

Submit count: 0

Reject count: 0

model: FINANCE. Package status: SUCCESS "

Have consulted the process chain logs, and all GREENs but NO DATA in CUBE!

Scenario 2: Load data into BPC Cube from Custom Logic BADI (with WRITE ON)

1. Custom Badi designed to manage data;

2. Package defined to call BADI with WRITE mode ON;

3. LOGS:

Package Log:

41520  RECORDS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BACK.

WRITING TIME :496084.72  ms.

SCRIPT RUNNING TIME IN TOTAL:578.76 s.

LOG END TIME:2013-06-25 11:30:43

This only happens with FINANCE model of our environment. For the other models, both solutions/packages work just fine.

Please share some ideas. I have read all the other articles in the forum, and none of them was the same situation.

Thank you,

Raquel

Hi Nilanjan,

Yes there are members in all dimensions. This happens in PRD and DEV system.

The script logic didn't work also.

We have, despite all this, found the problem!

This is a lesson to everyone: the reason why we couldn't load the data into this cube, is that in our WRITE_BACK badi, there was a condition that we din't predict, so the badi erased all the data from ct_data.. In this case, it didn't append lines to ct_data..

Thank you so much for all the answers!

Have a nice day!

Raquel

It's a bad idea to post "answer" in 7 year old question. If you want an answer - please create a new question.

Hi Raquel,

Even a normal script logic is not posting any data?

Is this in the PRD server?

Do you have members in all your dimensions?

Hi Oliveira,

Make a copy of the model (say named XXXX_Model),  clear all data from the cube (XXXX_Model) and then load data from BI as u mentioned above. Please see if you are able to see the data in the backend.

The above step might help in finding the root cause.

Regards,

Kalyan.

Do you have BIA attached to your model by any chance? Do you see request id generated in RSA1?

Along with 'Accepted' count, you should also see Record count, XYZ plant and in the conversion file you have mentioned External' as 'XYZ' and its corresponding 'internal' value as *SKIP.  If so, the records will not be loaded.

Hello Ashwin,

Thank you for the fast reply.

1. No request is shown in RSA1;

2. We are currently working with only 2 records, so it doesn't have huge data;

3. We don't have BIA attached;

Hi,

Do you see any request for Finance model in RSA1?

Does Finance model has huge data?
