Validation Rules not working for Copy DMP

Hi All,

I have created validation rule in UJ_VALIDATION.

As per configured validation rule,working fine with Input form.(When I tried to enter the data with input form,throwing out error).

But validation rule is not working for Copy DMP.For the same data intersection I am able to copy the data.

Validation rule is not applicable for copy DMP and calculationDMPs?

Anybody experienced  significant negative impact on performance while saving the datat?

Thanks for the information.I have turned on the validation for Data Manager and working fine.

Not measured the performance so far..but I feel like it is takin more time to save the data or running DMP after this validation creation.

Do you have any idea how much impact on performance?

Hi Manohar,

Definitely it has impact on performance but its depends on logic of validation, volume of data. If there is any BADI then again its depends on BADI.

What is the difference between Controls and validation rules?
