Hi All,
We are trying to do a ruleset changein GRC as MR21 (Price Change) is conflicting with ME31K (Create Contract) and ME32K (Change Contract).
Any user that has access to MR21, ME31K and ME32K with document types ZNM (Non - Merch PO), ZNQ (NM-Quantity contract), ZNV (NM - Value contract) it should not come as a SOD.
Before making this change can anyone tell me what could be the reason for it to conflict in functional terms.
Normally MR21 is used to Change the Price of Material when that material price cannot be modified by MM02 as this Material is already have transactional Data. So MM02 wont allow to change the price. In this case you need to do MR21 to do a price Change where you need to give Company Code and Material Combination with reason and it will change the Price at all areas.
Once you save the new document would be generted showing the old and new prices for the materials you changed. The follwing accounting entries occurs. Changed price would be debited or credited to the stock account depending on the increase or decrease in the price respectively. The same amount would be posted to loss or proft account depending on the increase or decrease in the price respectively.
In case of ME31K/ME32K related to Contract where you can maintain the price specific to Material with respect to particular Vendor procuring.
Here ME31K/ME32K is used by Purchasing Department i.e., Buyer uses this Tcode. But MR21 is not a simple Transaction it should be used by some Accounting Head and subject to Audit as the Price Change will affect in Stock Value and sometimes Profit & Loss Account of the Company as well.
This might me the reason for the conflict of interest I Hope. Please Check with Accounting team as MR21 is sensitive and subject to Audit.
Thank you
S Rajesh
