SAP CPQ Quote 2.0: How to set the Quote Tabs as read-only fields for specific Quote status

Dear SAP Community,

I am currently using Quote 2.0

What I am trying to achieve: When a quote is sent to customer the status is set to “Sent to Customer”, or when a order is placed the quote status is set to “Placed Order”.

But in these statuses the Involved Parties and Documents tabs are editable.

I want to set the Involved Parties and Documents tabs as read-only fields for these specific statuses.

What I tried to achieve the goal:

1. Turn off the Edit option in Workflow: I tried to achieve the goal by turning off the Edit option in the workflow. But if I turn it off, the action of placing order and other actions required in those statuses are also got disabled.

   

2. Custom Fields Permissions: By using Custom Fields Permissions I only could make the custom fields status specific but not the Tabs
3. Quote Tab Permission: By Tab permission there is only opportunity to make the tabs visible or not visible according to the status. But there is no option found to set the tabs as read-only or editable.

   

4. Python Scripting: I have not found any command to get the tabs of a quote or to set it as read-only.

Does anyone have any suggestions or idea, where or how I can set the Involved Parties and Documents tabs to read-only for a specific status?

This is known issue in Q.2 and already few customer reported.. In Influence portal, you can search for the same request and Vote it for it to get prioritized
