Invalid File Error

Hi All,

I' trying to upload a file, and getting error " Request to transfer a file to the server failed [ERROR]:Invalid file content is detected"

Can anyone advise me what is this error is all about, and how can I address this

Hi,

I have checked, the file extension .csv uploaded but the file is not viewable when I select Run Data Management Package, and select value help selector for transformation file, I can only see transformation.xls and not any other file.

Please advise

Hi,

Once you have uploaded the flat file, there will be another option to preview the data files. Please check whether you can preview or not. If yes, then there is no problem with your file. If you cannot preview, then the file has some problem.

Let me know how it goes.

Open the file in notepad & check if it is a 'true' CSV file or not. Sometimes the file extension may be misleading.

I have used .xls and .csv ? But why is .xls file is giving error salso with .csv as well

Hi,

What is the extension of your file? Can you create the same file once again with CSV format and try? May be the content of the file has corrupted somehow. You can try by creating a new file for this.
