hierarchy property is missing in entity dimesion bpc 7.5 nw

we are working with bpc 7.5 nw version and had some problems during the installation process. now our system seems to work but we still have some issues regarding some default dimension properties.

In our entity dimesion and P_CC dimension there is no hierarchy property (parenth1 and so on) while our account dimesion has this property. and as we tried to add this property we get an error message.

how can this problem be resolved?

Hi Alper,

You'll probably get more help with this if you ask on the BPC NW forum.

That said, how are you trying to add the PARENTH1 property? It is treated differently from other properties and you actually need to add it by inserting a column in the member sheet and typing "PARENTH1" into the header, then processing the dimension. That isn't working for you?

thanks a lot for your advise. it is really working and solved our problem. I just wondered why this property does not appear by default.

I'm glad it is working for you now! Yes, this is quite ... un-obvious. You don't always need a hierarchy, so it makes sense that it isn't there by default, but I can't say why it is treated differently from every other property. Certainly it would be a lot better if it were consistent.
