l This issue appears to be an unintended side-effect of the security notes disabling ActiveX controls.
l The issue is not specific to SAP products and is potentially affecting any application using ActiveX controls.
Have you delete all ".EXD" file?
Microsoft has confirmed this issue in KB 3025036 and has also provided an automatic fix located at: Microsoft Fix it 51029
l The recommended solution as per Microsoft KB 3025036 is to delete all "MSForms.exd" files (the automatic fix 51029 documented in the
resolution for symptom 1 of KB 3025036 deletes these files automatically)
l To resolve the issue, delete the cached versions of the control type libraries (extender files / *.EXD) on the client computer.
l Search the computer file system for files that have the ".exd" file-name extension, and delete all the MSForms.exd files that you find. To do
this, follow these steps:
Delete any "MSForms.exd" files in any subfolder of the "C:\Users\[user.name]\AppData\Local\Temp\" folder.
Depending on the specific applications installed on your desktop you may find this file in a variety of sub-folders:
Hi All,
If you have tried deleting the .EXD files and the Office Update and still having the Edit Report grayed out. I did the following and it has worked on three Workbooks we were about to rebuild.
This worked on EPM add-in 10.0 SP 20 Patch 2 .NET 4. Build 9063.
* Save broken sheet as a different name to have backup copy to try this on.
1. Open the copy of the EPM Workbook where the Edit Report is grayed out.
2. Click on the EPM tab in Excel.
3. Go to Options (In the tools Sub Tab right hand side of EPM tab).
4. General -> Worksheet Type -> Change from EPM Worksheet to Excel Worksheet -> OK
5. Let the Worksheet come back and see the EPM Pane and Context are gone.
6. Then change the Worksheet back to an EPM Worksheet.
6.1. Go to Options.
6.2. General-> Worksheet Type -> Change from Excel Worksheet back to EPM Worksheet -> OK
Then you should see the Edit Report button come back.
This again worked for me after trying to Office Update and deleting the .EXD files and restarting Excel.
Best of luck to anyone facing this problem and hope maybe this worked for you too.

Hi Sriram,
What version of EPM ADD in and office are you currently using?
If possible try to upgrade your version of EPM Addin to SP 18.
and check all windows updates are installed.
Hope it would solve your problem.

Andrew.
