Does *WHEN work with *START BADI?

Former Member

Hi,

did anyone try to use a *WHEN statement together with *START BADI?

According to a specific value of a dimension member I need to call tw different BADIs in script logic.

Unfortunately I am not able to run it, because the *REC statement is not needed in this scenario.

I had so many situations in BI-IP which were very easily solved with IF ENDIF, but in BPC this functionality is still quite basic

Any advice in this will be highly appreciated.

I'm not sure, but you could pass the member to the BADI and do all the checks inside the BADI itself. I mean, maybe you could make more complex your BADI script in order to accomplish this job.

Simmaco,

thanks for your update, this if of curse possible. Still I was thinking about an easier way in script logic which must not always be related with a BADI.

The *When *endwhen statement is not usable in many scenarios. I am searching for a very simple IF with an expression like it is possible in ABAP or FOX in BI-IP.
