Hi Experts,

My simple question is how to add two base members.

Eg: A values 100

B value 200

I am expecting result A+B =A (300)

Regards,

Chowdary

Hi Chowdary

You want to calculate the value of two base members fine, you can achieve that by using formula property of that dimension

Example-

Account dimension having formula property.

Account dimension having three base members (Quantity & Price) and now you want to calculate the Revenue (base member)

So you should write the formula for revenues -

Revenue = qty * price (in formula property)

Hope this will solve your problem.

Thanks

you have two options

Create Membaer C

1) Make C aprent of both A and B - this will be calculated on the fly

2) In the formula property of C, you may specify A+B which the dimension member formula.

Option 1 is preferred to option 2

hope this helps.
