Delete entries from FKKDIPOTMPCOUNT

Hello!

Table FKKDIPOTMPCOUNT contains entries with run information of all mass activities. There are currently more than 1.8 billion entries in our production system. Our team is planning to delete entries older than 3 months in the table using SAP standard reports.

1. RFKK_MASS_ACT_PARAMETER_HIDE
2. RFKK_MASS_ACT_PARAMETER_DELETE

Could you please let us know if this is a recommended approach for clearing the data in the table?

Your idea is absolutely correct. In SAP note 355685 you can find more details about this process. There, you can also read that for the payment run, an additional report (RFKPYD00) is necessary before.

You wrote that you want to delete entries older than 3 months. In my opinion, this could be a little bit too short. You have to know that after the deletion, you won't find the run id's in the related mass activities anymore. Therefore, it could be better to start with very old runs in the beginning and on the end, to delete maybe all entries older than 3 years. However, it's your decision and you have to use the best option for your company.
