BPC 7.5 NW : Cell Reference PageKeyRange

Dear Experts,

I am trying a very simple thing I already implemented in other reports but is not working this time.

I want to define a member in the PageKeyRange based on a cell reference.

The user selects a version of the budget in a dropdown list via its description. Then I have a table and a VLOOKUP formula to define the ID.

Then the PageKeyRange refers to the VLOOKUP formula.

The issue is, the report won't expand according to the selection.

However, if I hardcode the member in the PageKeyRange, everything works fine.

Do you have any idea about what is happening?

Axel

Hi,

Thank you for your answers.

I couldn't find the source of the issue so I did a simple copy/paste for a report where the technic was working fine and now it is working on my report.

I guess it was only a formatting error but was not able to find precisely the source of the problem.

It's definitely a wrong way of troubleshooting

As I said I "was not able to find precisely the source of the problem".

I know it is not the best the solution but it worked.

Hi Axel,

This ought to be similar to your request and it's working fine.

Hi Axel,

If you correctly use VLOOKUP and have the proper member ID in the PageKeyRange cell then expand will work properly. If not - there is something wrong with Excel formulas, but I can't help you, because you don't provide screenshots and formulas...
