Hey everyone,
the bank directory file which I'm using to update BNKA provides the 4-digit bank codes for Spanish banks only. Meaning, the file doesn't contain an entry for each combination of 4-digit bank code + 4-digit branch code. As the BIC can already be derived from the bank code the file contains one record for each bank code only.
But the Spanish bank accounts use the 8-digit bank key (4-digit bank code + 4-digit branch code). And by default function module CONVERT_IBAN_2_BANK_ACCOUNT_ES also converts an IBAN into an 8-digit bank key. But as BNKA only contains a record for the 4-digit bank code creating new bank accounts fails due to missing bank keys in BNKA.
Did anybody solve this problem already? The same problem should apply as well for Portugal or Greece for example.
Of course I can manually add all 8-digit combinations to BNKA. But then the bank directory file would be useless.
Happy to hear your thoughts.
Thanks,
Robert

Hey, we are using the SAP specific BDE files in the meantime which are also provided by Swift. And these files contain all the 8-digit bank keys.
Best, Robert
