HI,
Is it possible to update the exchange rates in the rate application in BPC 7 to an automatic feed, such as an RSS feed directly from OANDA or other exhange rate websites? Are there any business rules or other methods in place to send translation data to the local currency tables without manually inputting the translation rates?
By default you don't have something like that into BPC but you can easy create an SSIS package to automate the import of rates into RATE application from site or from any other source.

Thanks for the responses so far -- one blog specifying this that I found so far on the msdn site can be located [here|http://blogs.msdn.com/mattm/archive/2009/02/19/read-an-rss-feed-from-ssis.aspx]. We're planning to use SQL 2008 as our platform -- does anyone know if there are any standard SSIS components in place for that version of SQL?

Hi, it's fairly straightforward to import RSS into BPC application even though there is no standard SSIS component for this in SQL 2005 (don't know about 2008). If you have access to some web service, it's also not a big issue.
If you google for keywords SSIS and RSS there are number of examples how to do this. Then you can use the output of your RSS reading task with the BPC import task.
