Allocations

Hi Expets,

I am doing a bit of script logic. To allocate something from one period to all periods.

This is the logic i have used.

*XDIM_MEMBERSET RPTCURRENCY = LC

*XDIM_MEMBERSET CATEGORY = ACTUAL

*RUNALLOCATION

*FACTOR = USING/12

*DIM TIME   WHAT=2011.DEC;    WHERE=BAS 2011.TOTAL;    USING=<<<;

*DIM C_ACCT  WHAT=400110;   WHERE=<<<;  USING=INPUT;

*DIM C_DATASRC  WHAT=SYSTEM;   WHERE=INPUT;   USING=<<<;

*DIM ENTITY   WHAT=LONDON;   WHERE=<<<;   USING=<<<;

*DIM PRACTICE_GROUP   WHAT=LITAGATION;   WHERE=<<<;  USING=<<<;

*ENDALLOCATION

The allocation runs fine in the data manager but is producing the desired result.

Running 7.5

Any ideas welcome.

Hi Stephen,

Where is the data coming from in your USING region? According to your code the data is at:

  • RPTCURRENCY = LC
  • CATEGORY = ACTUAL
  • *DIM TIME   ... USING=BAS(2011.TOTAL)
  • *DIM C_ACCT  ... USING=INPUT;
  • *DIM C_DATASRC  ..  USING=INPUT;
  • *DIM ENTITY   ... USING=LONDON
  • *DIM PRACTICE_GROUP   ...  USING=LITAGATION;

If the USING data is only in 2011.DEC than you will need to hardcode that in your allocation logic:

i.e.

*DIM TIME   WHAT=2011.DEC;    WHERE=BAS(2011.TOTAL);    USING=2011.DEC;

Thanks,

John

Hi Roberto,

I have a figure in 2011.dec and want to spread the value equally throughout the year including 2011.dec.

I have just tried your sugguestion to but it is still not producing the desired result.

Many thanks

Hi Steve,

can you give me the result when you run the allocation?

What is INPUT that you use in account dimension? Wich value contains? You would divide this value by 12?

Kind regards

Hi Stephen,

can you explain better what you obtain from the runallocation and what you would obtain?

Check if you write in the runallocation BAS 2011.TOTAL  or BAS(2011.TOTAL) (right syntax).

Kind regards
