Zero records converted in RMCA9155

Hi Experts,

I am trying to execute program RMCA9155 for MPS process, to Copy and Delete version 000 to a Week

Source info structure           S901

Source version                  000

Target info structure           S901

Target version                  601

No copy method

Do not copy initial records

On executing, I get message as zero records converted.

what is the purpose of RMCA9155 program. will this program copy & delete at the same time. If so what it copies & what it deletes. if I want to get the message as converted successfully some records, what is the pre requisite?

Hello,

Carry out a version copy and deletion through MC8K - In Info Structure

Execute report RMCPSOP in Transaction SE38 in order to generate the missing objects in info-structure  then  execute program RMCA9155.

Also note When you are copying version to version, please take care of the period or dates,

From date and To date

If you are trying to copy the data for the same period as the existing ones in the active version, then it would just overwrite it.

In my example

Source info structure           S901

Source version                  000

Target info structure           S901

Target version                  601

I want to understand. Here source info structure & target info structure are both the same, only source & target versions are different. What is the purpose & target here to copy & delete either through MC8K or RMCA9155. Actually what is copied & what is deleted by this execution here? I want to be clear before I execute MC8K or RMCA9155.

Second is in MC8K, how & where to find the dates of source info structure S901 & version 000 (to enter below)

From date ___

To date ___

Should  I tick the deletion indicator check box?

in my example, which is the version to delete. Is it 000?

Version to delete ___

Hello,

Setup the same variant as per the program  RMCA9155 in  MC8K

Below the deletion indicator you have an option Version to delete it will delete the source version data and data will copy to target version.

Please test the same in your quality system.

Hi Brahmankar,

SE38 --> Direct processing (F8) of RMCPSOP  program does not give any result. It remains in the source code screen. Also no variants exist. Is it needed to create a variant & execute. How to create the relevant variant? because no selection screen comes as in the case of RMCA9155.

I could see the backgroud job Copy/delete version is in Finished status and with details

Capacity data for version 601 deleted

Version 601 deleted

Version 601 created for info structure S901

Capacity data for version 000 deleted

Version 000 deleted
