Can accounts be added to the standard YCOA chart of accounts in an environment of: SAP S4 HANA CLOUD - Partner Demo Customizing

I am trying to create an accounting account in the YCOA standard chart of accounts, and it does not allow me to create it, it shows me the following error:

Make an entry in field "Group Account Number"

How can I solve this error or is there any restriction when using the system: Partner Demo Customizing

You can create a new account by means of copying it from an existing GL account. There is no way to create a GL account from scratch. Also keep in mind that this master records are transportable, you cannot update the chart of accounts directly in production.

Here is the link to the FAQs where you can find the steps to create new accounts and maintain the chart accordingly.https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/0fa84c9d9c634132b7c4abb9ffdd8f06/87e8b621685f4f8591078b9d...

Hi Dario,

The reason why Group CoA is active in your system is probably due to the fact that you have activated Scope Item 2U6 Group Reporting - Data from External Systems (2U6).
However, it seems as if at least some YCOA accounts are not assigned to an account in Group CoA yet. What I would recommend you to do for now is that you assign all YCOA accounts to a dummy Group Account assuming that you functionally don't need Group CoA as of now. You can do this via Mass Change functionality selecting all accounts assigning them to a dedicated account in YIKR.

Once that has been done, you can resume copying standard accounts as those now have an account in Group CoA assigned. Keep in mind that the account which you newly create from the existing account will have the same parameters as the original account including the account in Group CoA.

Kind regards
Johannes

I am working in a tenant of type: Partner Demo Customizing, that is, I am not in a real client tenant, however I need to know if there is any SAP note indicating that accounting accounts cannot be added to the YCOA standard chart of accounts, I attach an image of what was mentioned:

Thank you for your time,
