XL reporter

Hi All,

I have Installed SAP B1 2007 Patch 04. I wanted to access XL reporter from client machine. I want to import RG23A and Purchase register in client machine. Where do I find Purchase register.ixr or RG23A.ixr in client machine. What settings Should I do to fulfill the requirement?

Hi Shashi,

You need to go setup folder of SAP B1 client installation.

In the setup of SAP Business one-->>Packages>>Country specifif Contents->India-->RG 23 A Part1,RG23 A PArt2., Purchase register.etc.

Thanks Abhishek for the inputs. I have one more doubts regarding XL reporter. I have imported Purchase register, Sales register and RG23aPart1 register.

When I double click on Purchase register. Excel is opened and not showing any values. same with sales and RG23Part 1. What could be the issue?

Can u give me step by step insturction. how to see reports... that would be helpful.

I am using MSOffice 2007. and SAPB! 2007 Pt 04

Hi Shashi,

You need to Click right on that specific report & say "Generate Report".

Thanks again for the inputs. Its working. But How do we put opening balance for excise. I am doing cutover activity. so I need some inputs how to put the opening balance for excise.

Hi Shashi,

While uploading Opening Balances of excise, you need to pass Journal entry by giving information of Material type & Cenvat component (which you can see at row level while passing journal entry).

In Material Type - Select option according to balances like

Raw Material

Finished Goods

Capital Goods

In CENVAT Component -

BED

E Cess

S & H E Cess

CVD, etc

So, when you will be uploading any excise balance by JE just select ablove said material type & cenvat component.

Hi,

So in other words I have to select Excisable 14 % G/L account Raw material BED

Educess 2% G/L account Rawmaterial edcess

H/S Cess G/L account Rawmaterial H/Scess

To Incoming excise Clearing A/C

Right?

One more thing which I have just noticed. the BED Value and HSC Value is comming same in the RG23 report. What could be the error?

Hi Shashi,

This SAP 2005 XL Excise reports are quit old & does not have S & H E Cess information. You need to edit this reports according to your requirements.

The updated excise registers are available with SAP 2007.

Just click right & say "Edit".

I am using SAPB1 2007B PL04, In my RG report Hscess is showing the wrong amount. It is giving BED amount.

Hi Shashi,

Then just go to edit of that report & see the parameters passed fort he same. You can unhide the columns from the report. Just check.

Hi abhishek,

i'm facing a problem in RG23AII XL report as the report does not show any values in S&H Cess (HSC) column even the HSC tax coponent being added in the tax code as CENVAT copmonent.

Also it will be very helpful if u can through some light on how Service Tax components can come in this report.
