Hi,
I have scenario of X-Steps for discrete manufacturing. Below is the scenario.
I am working on a IS-Mill project and the process is discrete manufacturing with variant configuration. The customer is having their legacy systems in which they are printing Work instructions for each operation. I have heard that x-steps for discrete has also the same functionality (to have work instructions). But i don't know the way to configure it. Can u please help me to configure the same. It will be more helpful if the explanation is given in steps.
Also, is it require to have some knowledge about PP-PI or X-Steps for PI to configure X-Steps for discrete industries.
As i never worked on PP-PI or X-Steps for process industry also. Please tell me what are the prerequisites to configure the same.
Your response will be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Best Regards,
SLT

Dear SLT,
I'm also trying to explore more on this for my present project.
After activating those business fucntions,certain configuration are to be made at SPRO level,which will come as a separate node
under Production->Basic Data->Execution steps(Next to Work Center).
Definition: execution step
Production Planning for Process Industries (PP-PI)
Structure, which you can use to describe the precise execution of the production process.
Using XSteps, you can control the data exchange between the automated level and the process control level or generate
interactive PI sheets for process operators and employees in the production. XSteps can be assigned to a master recipe or
process order.
