My client wants that If any changes in item text tab then they want version for this change item text .
I am observing the theards in sap forum .
i see the above link but , I am doing each and every settings for version'But when i change po item text tab , and check the po Its not showing error . can you telll me table and field name for item text for PO.
I doing the following settings
path:mm-purchasing-version management-Set Up Version Management for External Purchasing Documents
Doc.cat will be F means po, Doc type will be NB & p.org of ur client
in control data active both version acrive & version 0 ok.
in field selection reason, shorttext& requestor is required option & save
give the reason for ur inputs
in Set Up Change Displays category willbe f for all doc types
But its not asking version confirmation but showing the dsplay changes I want new version for if any changes in item text
New version can be created as in this case when text is changed but it
depends on the setting in the customizing table T166P.
Path in customizing:
Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Messages -> Texts for Messages ->
-> Define Texts for Purchase Order
Under 'Texts for Document Item' you can define, which item text
in which document type are relevant for printout and also for creation
of new version as in this case of operation '2'. If there is
document type NB and Text ID 'F04' for Operation '2' and therefore
new version is created for document with type NB when delivery text is
